This material is sandwiched between two layers of aluminum and is resistant to modern Ethanol based fuels.
This insulating spacer will keep your carb and incoming fuel cooler.
Also may wish to order two (2) gaskets # 40-9447-STR .
Additionally, make certain your fuel lines are routed away from, or insulated from any part of your exhaust system.
